Welcome to Top Flight

At Top-Flight we raise our own Pheasant, Chukar, and Quail to ensure the best quality flight conditioned birds. Our preserve is situated on 400 acres divided into 5 hunting areas. Each area consists of a carefully maintained combination of brush land and open field. This varied terrain provides perfect cover for our birds as well as a variety of hunting situations for you. The end result is an upland game hunting experience that is as close to wild bird hunting as possible. We are located 3 1/2 miles south of Columbus TX, just off of Highway 71.

We offer your choice of guided or unguided hunts


Hunting Season Mid September through March

As a licensed hunting preserve, we hunt upland birds from September through March. Hunts are scheduled for the morning or the afternoon. Top Flight offers corporate, individual, and family memberships along with guided day hunts. We also hunt dove and waterfowl hunting during the regular season.

Lodging

You are invited to spend the night at our lodge, and cook on the grill, or we can cook for you. The lodge can accommodate up to 12 people, making it a great place to relax after the hunt.

Hunts on Your Property

Would you like for us to bring the hunt to your property ? Top-Flight can provide guides, dogs, vehicles, and birds for a safe and enjoyable hunt for you and your guests. We will get started by meeting you at your property and working with you to design a outing. Give us a call early, these special events require more lead time than hunts on our property.

Cancellation Policy

50% non refundable deposit required at time of booking. Balance Due upon completion of hunt.

 

Non Members

Guided and Unguided Day Hunts for Upland or Guided Waterfowl

Cancellations made a minimum of 7 days prior to hunt $50.00 cancellation fee and balance of deposit may be applied towards future hunt prior to end of that season only.

Cancellations made less than 7 and up to 3 days prior to hunt. $50.00 cancellation fee, plus loss of 50% of deposit. Balance of deposit may be applied towards future hunt prior to end of that season only.

Cancellations made 2 or less days prior to hunt. $50.00 cancellation fee, plus loss of 75% of deposit. Balance of deposit may be applied towards future hunt prior to end of that season.

 

Members
All Members will be required to have a credit card on file for the season. You will do this when you do your first hunt. You will also have to fill out an authorization form at that time.

Unguided Members

Cancellations made a minimum of 7 days prior to hunt will be charged a $25.00 fee.

Cancellations made less than 7 days and up to 3 days prior to hunt will be charged $50.00.

Cancellations made 2 or less days prior to hunt will be charged $75.00

Guided Members

Cancellations made a minimum of 7 days prior to hunt will be charged the $25.00 fee.

Cancellations made less than 7 days and up to 3 days prior to hunt will be charged $50.00 fee plus half of guide fee.

Cancellations made 2 or less days prior to hunt will be charged $75.00 fee plus the full guide fee.

Topflight and its management will always try to be reasonable and flexible when possible, however it is not our fault you had something come up.

WEATHER ISSUES

Top-Flight does not predict the weather and we do not cancel based on long term weather forecast. Those decisions will be made day of hunt or if extreme weather is the prediction, then possibly the day before. Hunting is an outdoor sport and it is not always going to be perfect. If conditions are deemed to be ok for hunting, we are hunting. Cold, heat, high wind, and light showers will not be a reasonable excuse for canceling. IN THE EVENT we are forced to cancel hunts due to bad weather. Your deposit will be used towards a future hunt during the same season. No penalties will apply.
